Rick Brown was passionate about his career as a paramedic firefighter and contributed many years to his community as a volunteer at Mulvane EMS and Fire. Following his time with Mulvane, Rick worked for the Winfield Fire Department and Butler County EMS.
Rick was known for his intense desire to help others and was always there in times of need for his family, friends, and community. Rick was willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone (if you didn’t mind his trademark cut-off sleeves). He was also responsible for inspiring and encouraging many providers to begin their careers as first responders. Rick embodied quality public service and sacrifice. “His zest for life and encouragement to others were most definitely two of his greatest qualities.”
