Don not only served his country as a U.S. Marine but also served for more than 30 years in the Fire and EMS service. He rose to the rank of Captain and later Chief of the Wabaunsee County Fire District #3 in Hareyville, KS. Don supported his family by being a truck driver, mechanic, and a heavy equipment operator. When he was not working or serving his community as a firefighter/AEMT, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and golf. He leaves behind his wife Lorna; son Harry; daughters Christina and Hanna; step daughters Jennifer, Ashley, Lisa, Criss, and Taylor.
