Bradley started working with Butler County EMS in 1995 as an EMT, soon after he advanced to EMTI and then became a Paramedic. Bradley wanted to save everyone, his favorite saying in EMS was “Time is Muscle”. He was so dedicated to saving lives that he was the first to have 6 life saves of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victims. Butler County EMS has designed a challenge coin which is awarded to members of our staff who have 6 life saves. It is identified as the Bradley Brown Award.
Every year near Thanksgiving Bradley would put empty boxes at the stations asking for donations of canned food from crewmembers then take the collected items to the Salvation Army or people who needed food. We continue this tradition with the Bradley Brown Stuff the Ambulance Food Drive where over three days we collect food and monetary donations to give to the Salvation Army right before Thanksgiving.
Bradley Brown inspired everyone he met, giving everything he had to his patients and those around him. He is survived by his wife Peggy, Mother Phyllis Woodham, Brothers Max and Barry Brown, sister Danna Steffens, step-sisters Darcy Woodham, Danis Sprague, Kelly Gillum, and Kara Lynch.
